COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The topics covered this semester will pertain to fluid mechanics, vibrations and wave motion, electricity and magnetism, and physical optics. This is the second semester of a two-semester introductory course sequence that is designed to provide the student with a general knowledge of the principles, concepts, and theories of classical and modern physics. The topics covered this semester will pertain to fluid mechanics, vibrations and wave motion, electricity and magnetism, and physical optics.

Prerequisite: ENG 101, PHY 203 and MAT 242.
Restrictions: PHY 203 must be taken before PHY 204.

  • 6 hours: 2 hours lecture, 1 hour recitation, 3 hours laboratory. This calculus-based course is designed for students with a science or engineering background and for Forensic Science majors.
