COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Study of images of alienation and ways of self-realization as reflected in Puerto Rican fiction. Analysis of the Puerto Rican experience in the United States through the emerging Puerto Rican short story writers as well as novelists in the United States.

Prerequisite: An understanding of spoken SPA is required.
