This course is an intense "hands-on" study of the computer-based electronic music studio and electronic music techniques. Topics include acoustics, digital sound recording, editing, processing and synthesis, MIDI hardware and software, music notation, and the historical origins and literature of electro-acoustic music. Short compositional exercises will be assigned. Additional studio time outside of class is required.
